Bethesda has finally given us a release date for highly anticipated space set RPG game, Starfield. Starfield marks the first brand new universe for a Bethesda IP in 25 years, and is a far cry from what we’ve seen in The Elder Scrolls and Fallout through the years. It’s not far off, either, with its release set for September 6, 2023 on Xbox Series X|S and PC. It will also be released Day 1 on Xbox Game Pass.
Starfield was originally announced at Bethesda’s E3 presentation in 2018. Fans have been waiting a long time for this release date announcement.
Along with the release date announcement, Todd Howard has another surprise for players: There will be a Starfield Direct on June 11 to give more in depth information on this massive game, which is promises has been well-worth the wait.
Bethesda aims to take bring their skill for creating carefully crafted worlds to space. As one of the last space exploration organizations, Constellation has unearthed an alien artifact. Looking to piece the artifact back together, you play as the Spacefarer. You will be able to complete quests among the stars, free explore the universe to unlock its secrets.
Some of the various creatures, environments, and spaceships can be seen in the background of Todd’s message. From rocky planets, to those with large bug like creatures with far too many teeth, the quality looks exceptional.
