The latest Street Fighter 6 trailer has provided a glimpse into A.K.I., as well as an upcoming collaboration with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. While there wasn’t any gameplay shown of the former, we do know what thee new fighter looks like in-game, as well as what her personality is like.
Street Fighter 6 A.K.I. Trailer: A Poisonous Tease
This two-minute trailer showed off what was likely the character’s intro cutscene in the World Tour mode. Similar to Rashid, A.K.I. will also be added into the mode as a Master that your character can learn from. Within the scene, she forces the player character to eat a pellet, which she then teasingly implies is poison. She seems sadistic, like Juri at a minimum, if not even more unhinged.
Between her purple claws and the YouTube description of the trailer labeling her as a “maniacal poison aficionado,” it seems likely that she’ll function similarly to F.A.N.G. from Street Fighter V. This could mean that she’ll be bringing his unique poison mechanic into Street Fighter 6 as well. We can only assume she’ll utilize plenty of original techniques as well, given that her design doesn’t support some of his crane mannerisms, such as flapping his arms like wings to hover.

Anyone hoping for a more concrete release date might be coming away a little disappointed. For now, A.K.I. is still slated for a non-specific autumn 2023 window. Rashid came out only about a month into summer, so hopefully, we’ll see the next fighter not too long after autumn comes around.
Street Fighter 6 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Collab
Although everyone was already expecting some sort of teaser for the next DLC character, I’m not sure anyone could have guessed we would also be seeing the announcement of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration. Costumes will be added to the World Tour and Battle Hub modes, along with emotes and other gear. All of this will become available on August 8.
These trailers rounded out the big announcements not just for Street Fighter 6, but also for the entire EVO 2023 event. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more A.K.I. news, especially with Tokyo Game Show being held next month.
