Grasshopper Manufacture, Inc. a developer best known for developing No More Heroes and Killer7 has stated that they will be relying heavily on Unreal Engine 4. Goichi Suda also known well as “Suda 51” confirmed that they will be using the newly released engine when developing games for the next generation of consoles.
Grasshopper also revealed their new project Killer Is Dead is a stylistic action game similar to No More Heroes. Suda stated in an interview with Siliconare in April that the game was “running in either Unreal Engine 3 or Unreal Engine 4” but couldn’t say which without giving away what console they were developing on.
When asked about a No More Heroes sequel Suda told Joystiq
Travis [Touchdown] is one of the characters I’m really fond of, that means a lot to me. So if there was the opportunity to create another sequel then yeah, I’m always up to the idea.
Suda 51 also confirmed that we will see Unreal Engine 4 being used in future Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. games “if it’s a big title, or if it’s suited to that title.” It’s not certain what the release date for Killer Is Dead is yet but Grasshopper Manufacture is projecting that sometime in summer 2013 it will be released.
