On May 24, Nintendo filed a trademark application for its Universal Studios park attraction called “Super Nintendo World” — which is set to appear at three Universal locations: Hollywood CA, Orlando FL, and Osaka, Japan. And the application reveals some interesting info about what the Big N has in store for this real-world experience.
While Nintendo has previously announced initial plans for the attraction, this application features provides more concrete details for what the space will include. The application notably mentions plans for a multitude of game-related rides to suit the entire family. One portion of the application includes proposals for the “management or arrangement of kart racing” — potentially alluding to a Mario Kart related attraction.
In addition to plans for amusement park rides, the application reveals that the attraction will present park goers with a variety of ways to purchase Nintendo games and accessories. Multiple mentions are made for arcade machines that may very well feature some of the company’s most famous properties.
