Hatsune Miku Opens Temporary Shop in Tokyo Airport

The store is a limited endeavor at the Haneda Airport in Tokyo, and will close on March 31 of this year. There are two locations for the Hatsune Miku Wing Shop, including Terminal 1 of the domestic Airport and the International Terminal.

Hatsune Miku performed in a Paris, France vocaloid opera in November of 2013 in a show called “the End.”

The Haneda airport gift shop, which is temporary, is named the “Miku Wing Shop.” According to a Kotaku translation of the site:

 The name “Wing Shop” is actually a pun. In Japanese, Haneda is “羽田,” with the character “hane” (ç¾½) meaning “wing.” You know, airplanes and all.

Sega video game star and virtual pop singer Hatsune Miku now has her own real world shop in the Haneda Airport in Tokyo.

Hatsune Miku, who stars in a line of Sega video games including Hatsune Miku: Project Diva and her own manga series, is a synthetic “vocaloid” singer portrayed as a 16 year old girl with turquoise pigtails.
