That’s right, GameStop has confirmed that both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One will be available to play during their expo in August.
When the tickets went on sale only the PS4 had officially been announced so that was all that had been confirmed. Now, though, they have confirmed that both next-gen systems will be included. They did not mention exactly what titles would be playable, they simply said that attendees can…
“get a close-up look and hands-on experience with the new systems and their exciting launch lineups.”
I would take this as DriveClub for PS4 and who knows for Xbox One, and then maybe even Watch Dogs for both systems. That’s purely speculation but it’d be a start to the titles that may or may not be available to check out at GameStop’s expo.
They also talked about exclusive Q&As held by both companies. The downside is that to be a part of these two Q&A sessions you have to be a VIP ticket holder, which cost $90. They do include early access to show floor, a VIP lounge, a gaming tournament, access to panel discussions, and a swag bag with a t-shirt and Madden NFL 25 for Xbox 360. There are apparently a very limited amount left. General admissions are still available and are $35 and specially priced student tickets will be available for $20.
The expo is August 28th at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas. I can’t wait to see the stream of opinions from all of the people that will be in attendance, only a couple months before the finished products are pushed through.
