An upcoming sequel to the critically acclaimed first-person puzzle game The Talos Principle has been confirmed. The announcement was made during the Nordic Games conference in Malmö, Sweden by Alen Ladavac of the Croatian game developer Croteam on May 20. The news was revealed on Twitter and brought to the public eye by fellow Croatian Damir Durovic. No further details, including a release date, are available at this time.
The Talos Principle was originally released on Windows, OS X, and Linux on Dec 11, 2014, and then ported to the PlayStation 4 on October 13, 2015 soon after the release of a new expansion pack, Road to Gehenna. The game was met with acclaim by critics and players alike — it currently has a critic score of 85 and a user score of 8.5 on Metacritic. Hopefully, the sequel is able to live up to such critical acclaim and offer an enjoyable and thought-provoking experience to fans both old and new.
