With November here, the console war between Microsoft and Sony is in full swing since both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One will finally be in the hands of consumers everywhere. Both companies have been trying to get an edge and win the hearts of gamers across the globe. Right now, people are deciding which console is right for them, and a lot of those people are looking at both the games and the overall experience they will receive.
The Canadian Xbox Director of Marketing, Craig Flannagan, told GI International that the Xbox One will not only “start ahead” of the PS4, but will stay ahead for the foreseeable future due to the experience it will bring to the player. He states,
“We’re probably here for a while because we’re built for the future. This is a console that will last you, conservatively a decade, if I had to put a bet down today.”
Flannagan points out that the console is currently preselling an impressive 2-to-1 over the Xbox 360. He also says that the Xbox One that we see today won’t be the console we see in the future.
“Much like 360, Xbox One’s not going to look a whole lot five years from now like it does now. I don’t know where it’s going to go, but that’s kind of fun because we’re built for the future. We do have a connection; we can change what things look like and how it performs.”
The Xbox One releases November 22, and only time will tell who comes out on top in the next-gen console war. Hopefully, the real winners of the war will be the gamers, who will be enjoying awesome new experiences that both consoles will provide. This is an exciting time; let the next generation of gaming be the best generation yet.
