Die-hard fans of the first Titanfall game now have an extra reason to be excited for its sequel. Developer Respawn Entertainment has recently revealed that Angel City, a popular map from the first game, will also be available in Titanfall 2‘s multiplayer mode as free DLC.

The studio announced this via a blog post on the game’s official site and expressed their own joy at Angel City’s return:

“Fully remastered, Angel City is a map that is near and dear to many of us here at Respawn, and has proven to be a fan favorite since players first got their hands on it in the original Titanfall. We can’t wait to see how the community uses all the exciting new Pilot and Titan gameplay mechanics we’re bringing to Titanfall 2 on Angel City.”

They went on to clarify that the map will be free to download for any players who purchase the game; it’s just that you’ll get early access to it if you pre-order. Pre-orders will also come with the Nitro Scorch pack, which contains a special warpaint and unique call-sign.

And for those DLC skeptics about there, Respawn assures that all post-game DLC will be available for free, with the exception of cosmetic items that  “will in no way impact the gameplay.”

“This was driven by some things we learned following the release of the original Titanfall, and our desire to build and sustain a vibrant, thriving community that can always play together. This means it’ll be easier to play with your friends, not having to worry about who has what map pack or mode because everyone will have them.”

Titanfall 2 will be released on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on October 28th.
