A week from now, Ubisoft’s latest entry in their long-running Tom Clancy series will be released. The much-anticipated title, The Division will arrive March 8, 2016, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Tom Clancy’s The Division will allow players to traverse the open world setting of Manhattan as a member of the “Strategic Homeland Division.” Similarly to other games in the Tom Clancy series of games, you play from a third-person perspective.
There is a strong focus on cooperation between players, and use of tactics in order to complete missions and keep the peace in a ruined world. Players will also earn experience and currency, which can be used to customize characters’ appearance, skills, and gear.
The Division has seen a lot of issues in its progress, as the game was originally supposed to be released back in the summer of 2014. It was delayed twice and now will finally see its arrival to the public. Those who kept up were able to be involved in the open and closed beta’s provided earlier this year. You can see a few impressions from the beta here.
In spite of delays, and concerns over the micro-transactions, there is a lot of excitement surrounding the games release, and we’ll see if the final product comes out great.
