This is a bummer any time of the year, but especially around the holidays:
Yesterday, Trion Worlds laid off an unspecified number of employees, including some on the Rift team.
Sean VanGorder, an artist impacted by the downsizing, estimated on his Twitter that he was one of 37 pink-slipped staff members.
Unfortunately I was one of the 37 devs laid off from Trion Worlds today. If anyone knows of open environment spots, please send them my way.

Other artists, developers, designers, and quality assurance staff took to Twitter to announce the changes.
Through a spokesperson, Trion Worlds confirmed the “organizational changes,” claiming that the move was “a response to market conditions, product timelines and the natural evolution of our company.”
Trion Worlds is currently working on diverse titles like Defiance (in cooperation with SyFy), Warface, and End of Nations for 2013 releases.
Trion recently moved operations for End of Nations in-house after Petroglyph, who had been handling the game, experienced layoffs of their own.
We wish Trion and all impacted employees the best during this undoubtedly hard time.
