Players will be able to log into Blizzard games using their Facebook accounts. Players will also be able to share live streams of their games through Facebook Live, where friends can subscribe and get notifications about new streams.

Could this move possibly be a threat to the well-known streaming service of Twitch? The answer is yes.

Many of Blizzard’s games, such as Hearthstone and Overwatch, are some of the most popular games streamed on Twitch.

Twitch has 100 million users, compared to Facebook’s massive user base of 1.65 billion, and its 650 million users that play Facebook-linked games, according to TechTimes

While Twitch is an already advanced, developed, and established streaming site, this means Facebook has to catch up with developing and fine-tuning their streaming services for games.

However, Facebook’s enormous user base means more potential viewers for a user’s live stream.

Facebook has already worked with Blizzard to help market Overwatch through Facebook and Instagram.
