Hollywood superstars Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal are now confirmed to be playing the lead roles in the upcoming film adaptation of Tom Clancy’s The Division. Their exact roles in the film have yet to be identified. However, starring in the film will not be their only roles, for Gyllenhaal and Chastain will apparently be part of the development process as well.

Gyllenhaal and Chastain will be utilizing their production companies, Nine Stories and Freckle Films, to assist them in the film-making process. The exact direction the film is going in remains a mystery, but having Gyllenhaal’s and Chastain’s production companies collaborate with Ubisoft Motion Pictures will be a substantial aid to make the film happen.

Matt Phelps, the Vice President of Ubisoft Motion Pictures, has expressed his enthusiasm on adding Gyllenhaal and Chastain, explaining how they are essential for the development process.

“Attaching Jake and Jessica is part of our development philosophy of working closely with top talent from the earliest stages to collaborate on high quality films.”

With all of this confirmed, it’s only a matter of waiting to see if the film can live up the game.
