Big news coming from Ubisoft today with the unveiling of (to me) one of the most unexpected titles of todays releases, Tom Clancy’s The Division. Yes, I know, this game looks and feels like an epic saga of open world gameplay. Oh, and not to mention the graphics are phenomenal.
This seems like something that is really picking up in the gaming market, Defiance taking the third person shooter and turning it into an open world MMO with lots of really cool scenery. But this is just taking things to another level, with some seriously impressive visuals and absolutly stunning gameplay, I am expecting a lot out of this game.
Getting into the game
Now if you haven’t watched the Ubisoft release on this, the game takes place in a post apocalyptic New York where a disease has been spread by terrorists (obviously). The game itself has this team based action, which kind of seems to me like they are trying to focus a little more on the social aspect, for example in the gameplay footage the players had some help raiding a police station filled with bad guys, and by help I mean a friend came in on his tablet and gave his friends a nice little group buff to help them beat the bad guys.
All in all this game does look absolutely amazing and I would expect nothing less from a next-gen console game. Expected release date is unknown at this point, all Ubisoft would say is that it is infact a next-generation console game. Check out this video for those of you that haven’t, it’s just amazing.
