Ubisoft released Watch Dogs on the Wii U this week on the 18th in America and a couple days later in Europe. Unique to the Wii U version is the ability to interact with the Chicago world map on the GamePad.
This game follows the story of Aiden Pearce, who is able to directly hack into the city of Chicago’s main central operational system (ctOS) using an advanced device called the Profiler.
Watch Dogs was supposed to be out last November but delays halted the PC, last-gen, and current-gen consoles until this May. This means that the Wii U version is over a year due and still doesn’t include all of the DLC available on other platforms. One of our writers, Danielle DeNicola, noted that 2014 is the “Year of The Game Delay.“
Only two DLC packs are out in the Nintendo eShop: the Conspiracy, a series of augmented reality mini-game missions, and the Access Granted pack featuring three new contract missions, five outfits, and five perks.
Ubisoft stated that the Bad Blood DLC featuring an additional playable character, T-Bone Grady, co-op mode, 10 missions, new weapons, and new locations would not be present in the Wii U port.
