Like Monster Hunter? What about Dragon’s Dogma, Mega Man, or Street Fighter? Asura’s Wrath? Come on, throw me a bone here. Let’s just pretend you like all of the things mentioned and move on because all of those titles are getting art books released in the West this year.
Thanks to UDON and Capcom being best friends forever, UDON will be publishing several books and comics pertaining to Capcom IPs over the course of 2013. On top of the comics and graphic novels UDON is well-known for (including a brand new Devil May Cry comic series), they are translating and releasing the official art books for the games mentioned above.
The art books being released are:
- Asura’s Wrath: Official Complete Works (192 pages)
- Dragon’s Dogma: Official Design Works (312 pages)
- Monster Hunter Illustrations 2 (400 pages, and comes with the original Monster Hunter Illustrations)
- MM25: Mega Man & Mega Man X Official Complete Works (432 pages)
- SF25: The Art of Street Fighter (448 pages)
This is exciting new for fans of these series, as this is the first (and likely only) time we will be seeing these art books officially translated and published in the West. The books are going to sell out very quickly and be extremely rare, so keep an eye out for their release later this year.
