Most Dota teams are currently undergoing some roster changes for the upcoming Fall Majors. All rosters have to be finalised by 5th September 2016.

After an amazing year, team OG was regarded as the best team in the world claiming two Majors championship prior to TI6. However, OG had a very disappointing run at TI6 finishing in 9th-12th position which triggered an unexpected roster change for the following Dota year.

OG (a rebranded name of monkey Business) was built a year ago at the end of TI5 where n0tail and Fly recruited Miracle, one of the highest MMR player in Dota2 leaderboard, followed by Cr1t– and Moon. They took the competitive scene by storm to be at the top.

The team had made an official announcement on their Facebook page, immediately followed by a stream from Moon who answered a few questions regarding his kick from OG. Two remaining players, Crit- and Miracle decided to depart from the team to try their luck elsewhere for the upcoming season.

OG’s statement

We’ve made the difficult decision that Moon will no longer be an active player on the OG roster but wish him nothing but success wherever he decides to go. Cr1t- and Miracle- have chosen to find their new homes elsewhere in the DOTA2 arena[…] We’ll soon announce the exciting new faces to OG… and some other surprises. We need our incredibly supportive fans (you!) to know that we aren’t going anywhere. The journey to fill the OG trophy cabinet starts again. There has always been just one dream.

OG had achieved amazing results pre TI6, winning the Frankfurt and Manila Majors, as well as Dreamleague Season 4 and 5, and ESL One Frankfurt 2016. Then finishing 3rd position at EPICENTER and 2nd place at The Summit 5.
