The first major content update will be released for Ubisoft’s, Tom Clancy’s The Division, in the next few days! In this new patch they are including End-Game activities and character gear and gear sets with scores of 204 (level 32).
They are also changing the game so that killing a named NPC over level 30 will always reward a high-end item. The item you earn will have a level based on the NPC’s level. In addition drop rates of Division nTech materials for level 32 named enemies in the Dark Zone is also being increased by 40%.
This set of changes is to encourage crafting, an important portion of the game. Loot drops tend to be a gamble so the developers are encouraging crafting as a better alternative for gaining items similar to the rare loot drops. This isn’t to say they aren’t making efforts to make looting more controlled; they are actually revamping up the drop tables in order to help players hunt for loot more specific to their needs.
They are also covering the potential inflation problems by increasing poor quality material conversion costs, deceasing construction yields, and increasing costs of high-end material crafting since players will have better chances of getting higher quality items in general.
Will you be one of the first players to try this new system out? If so let us know what you think and comment below!
