From developer Complex Games and publisher Frontier Foundry comes yet another expansion within the overarching Warhammer franchise: Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate — Daemonhunters. The turn-based tactical RPG was announced alongside a teaser trailer, which also reveals that the game is currently targeting a 2022 release window for PC through both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters has a single-player campaign written by author Aaron Dembski-Bowden. The story will set players as humanity’s final hope against the forces of Chaos, the Grey Knights.
It was also revealed by the teaser that fans can expect to see more from Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate — Daemonhunters this August, when a full cinematic trailer is set to launch sometime that month.
This is was the fourth new game in the Warhammer franchise to get some attention at the recent Warhammer Skulls showcase, alongside a new 2D action platformer, a VR title, and a strategy title set to release on PC. It’s safe to say the Warhammer franchise is expanding at a rapid pace, and that’s not including the recent releases of Necromunda: Hired Gun and Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground.
We don’t know too much else about Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate — Daemonhunters, but stay tuned to GameSkinny for more as we learn it and approach the game’s tentative 2022 launch date.
