Members of the WWE Universe are currently preparing to learn more about WWE 2K17 at E3 and enjoy WWE Money in the Bank on June 19. They now have another upcoming treat, courtesy of Xbox and 2K. According to the Xbox Wire, Xbox Live Gold members can play WWE 2K16 for free on Xbox One from June 16 to June 19.
The game will also be available for a “special promotional price” during the week after the free period concludes.
WWE 2K16 features a 2K Showcase mode based on the career of cover Superstar “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Players have the opportunity to experience Austin’s classic matches with Mr. McMahon, Bret “The Hitman” Hart and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, among others. The game also features five different playable editions of Austin, spanning his time in ECW, WCW and WWE.
Other features include an updated MyCareer mode, as well as new creation tools, which allow players to create female Superstars, arenas, shows and championships.
