Cemu, a Wii U emulator, has been causing some stir amongst gamers following the project. While a controversial project, the Cemu has garnered attention from gamers worldwide. The performance of the emulator is not up to optimal level, but its ability to run some games at all is rather impressive.
Improvements made to the Cemu have allowed users to run Super Mario Maker and Mario Kart 8. While a number of games still remain unplayable in the latest build, it is still a step forward to be able to run the current games at all. Let us clarify, however, that Cemu is still a long way off from being usable, and will not be able to replicate the Wii U anytime soon.
While the ability to play Super Mario Maker and Mario Kart 8 is still impressive, Cemu still has quite a long way to go. Still, the progress it seems to be making is exciting. It looks like the battle to bring the Wii U experience onto a PC will continue.
