Machinegames’s given a release date for Wolfenstein: The New Order. Alongside the news, if you pre-order the game, you will have access to the upcoming Doom beta.
Wolfenstein: The New Order takes place during the 1960s in an alternate history, in which the Nazis won World War II. Three years after the events of Wolfenstein, agent Blazkowicz has amnesia. For the last 14 years he has resided in an asylum (as shown in the trailer). Once he escapes he finds there are… wait for it… Nazi robots. You must then, of course, save the world.
Created in 2009 by former founding members of Starbreeze Studios, MachineGames was acquired by ZeniMax Media – the name Bethesda should come to mind. This will be the studio’s first title. Wolfenstein: The New Order will release May 20th in the North America, and May 23rd in Europe for PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, and PS3.
By pre-ordering this game you will also receive a code/key gaining access into the beta for the next Doom game. There’s no confirmation about when the beta will start or on which platform. Not much information is known about Doom 4 other than it’s been in development since 2008, and was created by the talent over at id Software.
