World of Warcraft first launched on Nov. 23, 2004 and this year marks it’s 10th anniversary. According to Battle.net, World of Warcraft has plenty in store for their loyal players to celebrate 10 years of success for the game, with over 7.8 million of them reported by the end of 2013.
I’ll start with my personal favourite addition, the cutest. An adorable, fiesty, limited-edition, Molten Corgi!
“Just think of the corgi-parade potential when you and your friends summon these wee waddling balls of fire for a walk.”
– Blizzard Entertainment
This adorable new best friend can be claimed by anyone who logs in on the day of their Anniversary and will proceed to help defeat enemies with their fiery cuteness whenever they’re needed!
As well as a cute pet, WoW wants to help its players reminisce about the ‘good old days’ with the constant struggle between Horde and Alliance players at Tarren Mill and Southshore, which some players might remember from early day PvP experiences. Based upon this they will be opening a Team Deathmatch–style Battleground but with the outlook of a clearly defined victor, forcing players to work together tactically as a team or face immediate, brutal defeat!
Are you a hardcore WoW player? Have you spent countless hours maxing out your levels? Great! Max level players will also get their own special treat this anniversary by being given the chance to take part in a max-level only Molten Core raid of 40 players to defeat the Firelord, Ragnaros. If successful the player will earn a special Core Hound mount reward as well as a unique achievement.
Now we just have to twiddle our thumbs and wait until November…
