Wreck-It Ralph hit theaters back in November 2012. When it released in 3D, it grossed $189 million domestically and under $500 million worldwide. The movie was well known for iconic video game character cameos from characters like Bowser and Sonic.
Soon, Ralph will be wrecking theaters once again!
Disney announced on Thursday, June 30th that a sequel to the 2012 film will be getting made and is due out on March 9, 2018.
Cast & Crew
John C. Reilly, the voice behind Wreck-It Ralph, will return to voice the villain in his next adventure. Sarah Silverman, the voice behind Vanellope, is also returning to voice Ralph’s sidekick. Rich Moore, the director behind the first movie, will co-direct the sequel with Phil Johnston, who co-scripted the first movie. Clark Spencer from Zootopia will be producing the film.

Official art on Disney’s Facebook shows Ralph along with his sidekick Vanellope over billboards parodying Google, Amazon, and other websites. Reilly teased what the movie would be about.
“It’s top secret but I’ll tell you this much…Ralph leaves the arcade and wrecks the Internet. What could go wrong?”
