The next installment of the WWE franchise, WWE 2K14, includes a single player campaign mode that allows the player to relive the glorious 30-year history of the biggest event of them all, Wrestlemania. The matches themselves will set specific challenges for the player to meet, as seen in previous installments of the game. 2K Sports promises authentic gear, arenas, costumes, entrances, cinematic cut scenes and much more to increase level of immersion and realism.
The roster for the “30 years of Wrestlemania” mode was announced today by none other than WWE’s very own Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler during a press event held at the WWE SummerSlam AXXESS event in Los Angeles.
The roster contains 33 unique characters, with 10 of them having retro variants, bringing the entire cast of characters to a jaw-dropping 43. Some of the highlights of the more recent cast include The Undertaker, The Rock, John Cena and Brock Lesnar. We also see the return of some classic fan favorites like Ric Flair, Goldberg, Bret “The Hitman“ Hart and even Batista!
It should be noted that this is the roster only for the “30 years of Wrestlemania” mode, and not the full game. No information about other game modes has been released yet.
