Titanfall, the recently released first-person shooter multiplayer game, has caused quite the uproar in the gaming scene, winning over 60 awards at its E3 2013 reveal. This futuristic, mech-style title, which features a six-on-six style gameplay, was released on March 11th, 2014 for Xbox One and PC.
However, it seems that eager wielders of the Xbox 360 will have to sit patiently once more as the game’s release date for the Xbox 360 will now be pushed back for the second time.
An official statement from EA Studios’ executive vice president, Patrick Söderlund, reads that delaying the game from March 25th to April 8th will give port developer, Bluepoint Games, time to improve it:
Now, I want to update everyone on Titanfall for Xbox 360 in development with Bluepoint Games. I’ve been playing the game a lot, and it is fantastic. But we see a few things that can be made even better, so we’re giving Bluepoint a little more time to do just that and deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players. Titanfall for Xbox 360 will now be releasing on April 8 in North America, and beginning on April 11 in Europe. The game will feature the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards as the Xbox One and PC versions of the game.
While the statement does not make clear exactly what the issues or improvements may be, there has been speculation that the Titanfall release date has been pushed back due to capitalization on Xbox One and PC sales. Reports are saying that the Titanfall Xbox One release has doubled Xbox One sales in the UK.
Whatever the reasoning may be, Xbox 360 owners can rest assured that his/her Titanfall craving will now be fulfilled on April 8th (or 11th in Europe) bug-free and performing to its fullest potential. Purchase your own copy here!
