This morning’s Nintendo Direct presentation announced the release of The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons on the 3DS eShop. The presentation confirmed the Japanese release, and series producer Eiji Anouma announced that the titles would be making their way to other territories at a later date.

While the Japanese eShop release will be taking place on February 27, the Western releases will have a while to wait. Anouma spoke up on the subject and posted this message on the Zelda Miiverse this morning shortly after the Nintendo Direct presentation:

“The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Oracle of Ages will be released for Virtual Console on Nintendo 3DS in Japan, but it’ll be a little while longer till they’re out in other territories. We”d like to ask for your patience until they’re ready for release. Thank you!”

It looks like Western Zelda fans are going to have to buckle down and wait.
