While some studios may wait months to drop DLC for their recently-released games, the team at Rebellion has thrown caution to the blood-soaked winds with Zombie Army 4: Dead War.
The second batch of campaign DLC, titled Blood Count, is now available for PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia, as well as the PC on the Epic Games Store. Blood Count is part two of the three-part Hell Cult campaign expansion for Zombie Army 4.
The Blood Count level is available as part of the game’s season pass on all platforms, or as a stand-alone level on all platforms priced at $6.99. It comes alongside a small handful of other add-ons as well, each of which is also available as part of the season pass or stand-alone:
- Renegade Officer Character ($4.99)
- Mortar Shotgun Bundle ($3.99)
- Bloodsoaked Weapon Skins ($2.99)
- Gas Mask Headgear Bundle ($2.99)
The entire package, including the new level, costs $21.95 in total. You can see everything, including the expansion’s ghoulishly terrifying Nazi bats, in action in the trailer below:
The game’s first DLC pack, Terror Lab, launched on March 10, and included the titular Terror Lab level, as well as a new character. It also included a new character skin for Boris, two guns in the PPSH submachine gun and the M1 Semi-Auto Carbine, Molten Lava weapon skins, and a free Undead Wood horde map.
Considering the cost of Blood Count, and that Terror Lab will set you back another $25.94 if you choose to pick it up, it might be wise to grab the game’s season pass for just $34.99. it already more than pays for itself if you’re going to buy all of the game’s DLC.
Though Blood Count was originally set to release in April, having obviously seen a delay to now, the shooter’s third DLC pack is still scheduled to launch sometime in May, according to the Zombie Army 4 website. Particulars haven’t been shared yet, but it will presumably wrap up the Hell Cult arc. It will also include a new mission and character, as well as new weapons and skins.
Later this summer, we can expect to see the release of a unique horde mode map, a new difficulty level, a new Elite mode, and even more weapons and skins.
