Late last night, while most were in bed, Robert Bowling the ex-Call of Duty alumni, now founder of Robotoki, had to fend off two intruders. Robotoki is currently based in L.A., with two games in development. Two burglars kicked down the front door, only to see an unarmed Bowling, who chased them off.
Bowling immediately took to twitter with this statement and picture:
Commenters quickly responded with texts of concern hoping that all were okay. Which was shortly followed up by a quick 14 second video:
Fortunately, everyone is safe, though as if working late isn’t hazardous enough to your health, try adding a break-in to the mix.
This is not the first time the LAPD had to respond to any distress from the Robotoki offices in the last year. According to Joystiq, an unknown employee pressed the newly installed panic button. This led to an unannounced late-night visit from the local officers, resulting in Bowling being handcuffed for a moment while they cleared the building.
At this time there is no official police report or any photos regarding the intruders. I’m sure, however, Robert Bowling will continue to leap desks and chase those burglars away while he keeps those late hours.
