For those venturing into the PvP side of Elder Scrolls Online, here is the breakdown of the Guild Skills for the Fighters Guild, Mages Guild and Undaunting.
Your rank within your guild is separate from your character level, meaning your character can be level 10 while the level within your guild will likely be lower.
The method for improving your skills within each guild varies between them. Take a look at the different methods below:
- The Fighters Guild abilities can be improved by destroying Dark Anchors or killing Daedra
- The Mages Guild abilities can be improved by collecting special Lore Books
- Undaunting abilities can be improved by completing Dungeon achievements
Fighters Guild
Ultimate Ability:
Dawnbreaker (Unlock Level 10) – Deals Magic Damage to enemies in front of player, with 60% additional damage to Undead and Daedric enemies
Morphs:
- Dawnbreaking of Smiting – Undead and Daedra are knocked down
- Flawless Dawnbreaker – Passively increases your damage with weapon attacks
Active Ability:
Silver Bolts (Unlock Level 2) – Deals Physical Damage; knocks down Undead and Daedric enemies for 3.5 seconds; 5% chance on hit to banish Undead and Daedric enemies, dealing 4 Magic Damage
Morphs:
- Silver Leash – Activate gain to pull enemy to you
- Silver Shards – Hits 2 additional targets
Circle of Protection (Unlock Level 4) – Creates an area of protection for 17 seconds; friendly targets nearby have Armor & Spell Resistance increased by 10, and additional 10 against Undead and Daedric attacks.
Morphs:
- Ring of Preservation – Allies in area have increased Health Regeneration
- Turn Undead – Damages and fears Undead and Daedra on cast
Expert Hunter (Unlock Level 6) – 20% chance on hit to deal an additional 22 Magic Damage to Undead and Daedric enemies for 10 seconds; killing Undead and Daedric enemies increases duration by 15 seconds
Morphs:
- Camouflaged Hunter – Deals additional damage when stealthed
- Evil Hunter – Also gain Stamina when damaging Undead or Daedra
Trap Beast (Unlock Level 8) – Places a trap at a location for 24 seconds; trap takes 4 seconds to arm then deals 11 Magic Damage and immobilizes closest enemy for 6 seconds; burns Undead and Daedric enemies for 24 Magic Damage
Morphs:
- Lightweight Beast Trap – Can be placed up to 28 meters away
- Rearming Trap – Trap rearms once after firing
Passive Ability:
Intimidating Presence (Unlock Level 1) – Allows player to intimidate certain NPCs in conversation
Slayer (Unlock Level 3) – Increases Weapon Power by 3% and Spell Power by 3% when attacking Undead and Daedric enemies for Rank 1; by 6% for Rank 2; by 9% for Rank 3
Banish the Wicked (Unlock Level 5) – Bestows 3 Ultimate when killing an Undead or Daedric enemy for Rank 1; 6 Ultimate for Rank 2; 9 Ultimate for Rank 3
Skilled Tracker (Unlock Level 7) – Allows Fighters Guild abilities that affect Undead and Daedric enemies to also affect Werewolves
Bounty Hunter (Unlock Level 9) – Allows player to accept bounty quests from the Fighters Guild in Cyrodiil
Remember: Fighters Guild abilities can be improved by destroying Dark Anchors or killing Daedra.
Mages Guild
Ultimate Ability:
Meteor (Unlock Level 10) – Deals 44 Flame Damage to target and 22 Flame Damage to nearby enemies; all affected enemies are knocked down
Morphs:
- Ice Comet – Deals cold damage and snares enemies
- Shooting Star – Gain Ultimate for each enemy hit
Active Ability:
Magelight (Unlock Level 2) – Summons a light that reveals hidden and invisible enemies within 12 meters; reduces Max Magicka by 5% and increases Spell Critical Strike chance by 7%. Toggle to activate.
Morphs:
- Inner Light – Adds more Spell Critical Strike
- Radiant Magelight – Nearby friendly targets take less damage from stealth attacks
Entropy (Unlocks Level 4) – Deals 12 Magic Damage over 12 seconds and restores Health to player every 6 seconds
Morphs:
- Degeneration – Your weapon attack against target restore health
- Structured Entropy – Increases Max Health while ability is located
Fire Rune (Unlock Level 6) – Creates a Fire Rune at the target location for 30 seconds, dealing 15 Fire Damage when an enemy enters the area of effect
Morphs:
- Scalding Rune – Enemies also take Fire damage over time
- Volcanic Rune – Enemy is knocked in the air
Equilibrium (Unlock Level 8) – Trades 0 Health for 0 Magicka
Morphs:
- Balance – Adds Health recovery
- Spell Symmetry – Reduces the cost of your next spell
Passive Ability:
Persuasive Will (Unlock Level 1) – Allows the player to Persuade certain NPCs in conversations
Mage Adept (Unlock Level 3) – Reduces Magicka and Health cost of Mages Guide abilities by 8% for Rank 1; by 15% for Rank 2
Everlasting Magic (Unlock Level 5) – Increases duration of Mages Guild abilities by 10% for Rank 1; by 20% for Rank 2
Magicka Controller (Unlock Level 7) – Increases Max Magicka and Magicka Recovery by 1% for each Mages Guild ability slotted for Rank 1; by 2% for Rank 2
Might of the Guild (Unlock Level 9) – Casting a Mages guild ability increases Spell Power by 10% with the next attack for Rank 1; by 20% for Rank 2. Effect lasts up to 8 seconds after casting a Mages Guild ability.

Undaunted
Active Ability:
Blood Altar (Unlock Level 1) – Increases Health Recovery of nearby allies by 15% for 27 seconds. Allies may activate the Blood Funnel Synergy healing for 18 every 1 second over 4 seconds. Channeling reduces the altar duration for each second channeled. Only 1 ally may channel at a time.
Morphs:
- Overflowing Altar – Duration isn’t reduced from channeling. may be used by multiple allies at the same time
- Sanguine Alter – Has increased Health Regeneration
Trapping Webs (Unlock Level 2) – Deals 11 Magic Damage to enemy and snares 40% for 8 seconds. Nearby allies may activate the Spawn Broodlings Synergy dealing 22 Magic Damage and summoning 2 spiders for 15 seconds
Morphs:
- Shadow Silk – Black Widow spiders last longer and have a poison damage over time ability
- Tangling Webs – Synergy ability fears enemy
Inner Fire (Unlock Level 3) – Deals 11 Magic Damage and forces target to attack you for 15 seconds; 15% chance to create a synergy opportunity where allies may activate the Radiate synergy to deal 40 Magic Damage to target enemy over 4 seconds, then explode for 251 Magic Damage to all nearby enemies
Morphs:
- Inner Beast – Has increased range and reduced cost
- Inner Rage – Has increased chance to create a synergy opportunity
Bone Shield (Unlock Level 4) – Gain 50 Armor for 5 seconds; nearby allies may use the Bone Wall synergy, granting a damage shield for 60% of their Max Health
Morphs:
- Bone Surge – Synergy increases all power
- Spiked Bone Shield – Return damage to melee attackers
Necrotic Orb (Unlock Level 5) – Summons an Orb for 10 seconds that deal 0 Magic Damage to nearby enemies; an ally may activate the Combustion synergy causing the orb to explode 22 Magic Damage; allies restore more Magicka over time for each enemy hit
Morphs:
- Energy Orb – synergy increases Orb damage instead of destroying it
- Mystic Orb – Orb also restores Magicka instantly when it explodes
