How to obtain the Psychic Dressphere

You’ll want to get the Psychic dressphere for it’s “Teleport” ability which allows combatants to reposition themselves in battle. This allows characters to do double-damage strikes from behind.

To win this sphere, players must beat the “Standard Cup” in the Coliseum. In a nutshell, the Coliseum allows the Gullwins to participate in cups against different monster formations through Tournament Cups and Battle Simulator.

The Tournament Cups allows the Gullwings to participate in cups against different monster formations, while the Battle Simulator allows them to practice against any formations they’ve encountered in the Tournament Cups.

Beating the Standard Cup

The monsters in the Standard cup aren’t too tough, which means this is a dressphere you can obtain earlier on in the game (unlike the Mascot Dressphere). If you come here too early, you may still have difficulties, but you can practice against harder formations in the Battle Simulator.

One of the hardest formations in the Standard Cup is facing an Amorphous Gel accompanied by a Barbuta. Normal attacks won’t work well against either of those enemies, so you’ll need to equip your characters with the Black Mage dressphere.

The Barbuta is weak to Thunder, making it the easier target to finish off first. The Armophous Gel is slightly trickier, but it  has zero magic defense which you’ll need to take advantage of.

Each round the Amorphous Gel starts with an immunity to a random element, and this changes each round. So if it was immune to Thunder during the first round, it might be Immune to Fire the second round.  Keep hitting it with magic, and it should eventually go down.

 Reap Your Reward

Once you’ve finally managed to win your first Standard cup, you’ll obtain the Psychic Dressphere. Enjoy!
