Good news Xbox One fans, we finally have a release date!
Today, Microsoft has announced that the Xbox One will be available in North America and the UK on November 22, 2013. In total, 13 different territories will be getting the console on that date including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK and the United States.
This release date is one week after the North America release date for the Sony Playstation 4 and is actually the same date that the Xbox 360 released way back in 2005.
There were rumors circulating from the UK that the Xbox One release date would be announced today, and fortunately they did not disappoint. The release date comes one day after Yusuf Mehdi, chief marketing officer for Xbox, announced that the Xbox One was now in “full production” after getting an upgrade to its CPU. Which is good to hear because Xbox fans are sure to want to learn more about Microsoft’s newest console.
So, Xbox fans…we have plenty of time before the Xbox One launches and that’s a little disappointing but hopefully Microsoft will continue to leak information about the console until its released!
