Dragon Nest is a MMORPG created by Eyedentity and is available to play in several regions. Dragon Nest NA (North America) currently has five classes. The Warrior, Archer, Sorcerer, Cleric and Tinkerer. The story behind Dragon Nest is about two goddess sisters named Altea and Vestinel. Vestinel poisons her sister, making her go into a deep sleep. You as the player must find the cure, wake up the goddess and save the world. Seems easy right? Wrong! Along the way you must battle giant Minotaurs, Manticores, various dragons and other monsters.
Gameplay
From the start you begin in a tutorial in the first of your many instances throughout the game. After completing the tutorial you go to one of two starting towns, where you start your adventure. As you progress throughout the wall, you interact with NPCs and start the Friendship system. The Friendship system is a system where you give a gifts to NPCs who belong to one of three factions; the more gifts you give, the more benefits you can receive. Which are points and sometimes gifts from the NPC. The moment you reach level 24, you enter your first Nest–similar to a Raid. As you level up to 24, 32, 40 and 50, more nests open up. A Nest is a monster boss stronghold and you can earn valuable loot that can be sold for a lot of money.
There are six types of item qualities in Dragon Nest: Normal, Magic, Rare, Epic, Unique and Legendary. In order of rarest, and of course the rarer it is the more boosts it gives you. Some items are part of an item set which gives boosts according to the amount of armor sets you are wearing. Currently you can only gain legendary armor from the Dragon Nest, which you must upgrade from the Unique that drops. Epic sets can be bought for Goddess Tears, which can be obtained by doing a quest daily from an Honest Ed merchant. Or, if you do a nest, you can get crafting mats with which you can craft the amour yourself. If you are really luck you can win one from a end screen chest or drop.
Nests
The Nests in Dragon Nest are hard only at first when you are not geared properly or have someone who is over powered. The reason for this is as you can gain epic armor and whatnot, you can enhance them so that they give you even more boosts and the stats of the monsters in the dungeon do not scale with you. So a level 50 in a level 24 nest is a massacre. Once you reach level cap and get enough damage, those once-hard cap level nests become a breeze to do. Dragon Nests are harder than other nests like Minotaur nests or the Cerebus nests. And often have a Dragon at the end. There are currently three known Dragon Nests; the Sea Dragon, Green Dragon , and Yellow Dragon.
Career
Job Advancements happen at level 15 and level 45. During each of the job advancement you must go down one of two paths. At the level 45 advancement you gain an Ex skill which is a stronger version of a regular skill along with some extra stuff. For each job advancement, you have to go through a test to prove that you are worthy enough to reach a new level.
Through interaction with NPCs you can gain pots or crests and sparks which make you even stronger. All in all, Dragon Nest is a fun game filled with a lot of events such as Guild Rumble, where guilds rack up points and then must spar off in a huge PvP map. The winner becomes the Rumble winner and gains some extra rumble points to get more rewards.
