War Thunder
This game has a very amazing feel to it. It provides a player with varying levels of realism by providing Arcade mode, Historic Mode and Real Mode
Arcade Mode is for less experienced players, or people who just want to dogfight and have amazing battles. Planes don’t take G-force or excessive speed damage and there are various assists that are turned on and planes reload in the air. The only time you need to land on the runway is to capture a base or repair your plane.
Historic battle mode and real battle mode makes the game more realistic by turning on the real dynamics of G-force and making you take off, land for ammo and fuel, and in real mode view the battle from “aircraft controls” or “cockpit view” only.
So enough with the “details of the game” as you can get all the details from warthunder.com and I encourage you to have a look at.
Now, Onto My Impressions
THIS GAME RULES!
There is nothing more exhilarating than flying into a hornets nest of enemy planes, guns blazing, and barely missing the oncoming planes and they train their sights on you.
Of course that is a nice way to get taken out quick, but oh my god, that gets your heart pumping.
This game provides a chance for you to be an ace of the sky and to perform heroic and dangerous maneuvers that make for some amazing replays.
Some of my best flights have been while in one of my fighters, skimming the ground or topping trees while taking out the AA fortifications and convoys taking shots at my comrades in the skies. Some occur while being chased by three or four planes while in one of my bombers while my gunners rip strips out of them as I bombard the enemy base and fortifications.
Even though this game is still only in beta and the other two portions of the game haven’t been implemented yet, this game feels so polished and is so enjoyable. Once the Army and Navy portions of the game have been added, I feel that this game will become my primary game and already this take more of my valuable gaming time away from Planetside 2, Minecraft and Neverwinter.
Keep it going, Gaijin Entertainment. Only game I have ever felt is 10/10 and is still in Beta!
