Wii U – Unboxing of Doom!

The brand new console is definitely interesting. The unboxing video covers all of the major pieces. Watch out for the really long update after setup which some users are saying is taking from 1 to 4 hours.

The brand new Wii U console from Nintendo released today. My early take is that this console will impact the console industry as much as motion control in the Wii did in the last generation. Nintendo is once again pushing the envelope for input methods with the second screen functionality built right into the controller. Check out the unboxing for the basics. There will be more information to come.

Also, if you have a Wii U be prepared for a very long update after you get it setup. The update is pretty brutal, but it enables a bunch of post-launch functionality. Netflix, Hulu and the rest are coming closer to Christmas.
