The Pokemon Company made good on its promise of a new legendary Pokemon for Pokemon Day 2020 by revealing Zarude, the Rogue Monkey Pokemon. It’s a new Grass and Dark hybrid mythical ‘mon for Pokemon Sword and Shield, the latest entries in the Pokemon series.
Zarude lives in the deepest forests of the Galar region and uses the vines on its wrists, back, and feet to attack foes, grab Berries, and move around. They even have healing uses as well. It’s an aggressive Pokemon that treats anyone outside its immediate circle as an enemy.
🚨 Mythical Pokémon Discovered! 🚨
We’ve confirmed the existence of Zarude, the Rogue Monkey Pokémon. When fighting, it swings around using trees and their branches, attacking relentlessly with its sharp claws or any other means it has.

Though Zarude has been officially announced, you still can’t obtain it in the games yet. The Pokemon Company promised more information coming soon, perhaps in time for the Pokemon Sword and Shield expansion pass when it launches this summer.
Meanwhile, don’t forget that from now until March 1, there’s another legendary Pokemon you can encounter in Sword and Shield: Dynamax Mewtwo. You can’t actually catch it, but you’ll get all manner of good items like Ability Capsules if you manage to win in battle.
And if that’s still not enough Mewtwo to satisfy you, don’t forget Armored Mewtwo is making an appearance in Pokemon GO again, and Mewtwo Strikes Back: Evolution is on Netflix starting today.
Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more Pokemon news as it swings out of the trees.
