Be sure to download the free PlayStation Plus version of Driveclub before Sony takes it into the shop, indefinitely. On October 6th, the companion to the full disc based game will be pulled with no explanation from Sony.
Sadly, the road for this free game hasn’t been long. After nearly a year of delays due to game breaking bugs, the free version of Driveclub was finally released in June. It pretty much played as a very large demo for the full Driveclub game.
Driveclub zoomed on to the scene as a PS4 launch title when it was first announced. Driving along the side of Gran Turismo, Driveclub was suppose to be Sony’s answer to Microsoft’s Forza series. It was handled by Evolution studios, the same developer behind the Motorstorm series, so it seemed that Driveclub would of been handled with care.
Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the case. You can still buy the full game, available for PS4, but the free version of Driveclub will be taken down October 6th.
