Unlike Call of Duty‘s perk system or the class-based Battlefield, the minds behind Titanfall have given us something a little different. Burn Cards are a feature that give Pilots special abilities ranging from more powerful weapons to upgrades for your Titans. You do not have access to these cards at first but as you level up you will then be able to utilize up to three of them in a single match.

Burn cards are earned by completing the various challenges that Titanfall has laid out for us. For example, the more kills you get with a particular weapon, then you will earn Burn Cards for Amped versions of that weapon. These cards are selected after the player dies and will remain in effect until the next player death. So if you use the Fast Learner card, for example, you will earn double XP for the entire time you are left alive. So if you feel that you can dominate a particular match or you are close to completing a bunch of challenges, turn on this card and rake in the XP.

I have compiled a list of the Burn Cards that are available in Titanfall along with their effects. I have separated them into like categories based on their effects. Hopefully this list will prove useful in your online strategies.

Cards that affect the player

These are cards that have an effect on the player themselves. Some will help your movement while others let you see through solid objects.

Active Camo– Replaces your equipped Tactical Ability with a longer lasting Cloak

Adrenaline Transfusion– Permanent Stim for the length of your next spawn. While    this burn card is active, you can still use an equipped Tactical ability.

Aural Implant– Replaces your equipped Tactical Ability with a longer lasting Active Radar Pulse.

Echo Vision– You spawn with an always-on Active Radar Pulse. You can still use an equipped Tactical Ability while this card is active.

Fast Learner– You earn double XP for the length of your spawn.

Ghost Squad– You spawn with an always-on Cloak. You can still use an equipped Tactical Ability while this card is active.

Map Hack– Reveals the location of every enemy (pilot or NPC) on your mini-map

Most Wanted List– Extra XP and reduced build time when you land hits on enemy Pilots.

Outsource– Extra XP and higher build time reductions earned from combat in general.

Packet Sniffer– Automatically sends out a regular Active Radar Pulse for the length of your spawn.

Prosthetic Legs– Increases your Pilot’s movement speed.

Rematch– Your next respawn drops you onto the map in the last place you died.

Satellite Uplink– Reveals all enemies (pilot or NPC)on the mini-map every 10 seconds.

Smuggled Stimulant– replaces your Tactical Ability with a longer-lasting Stim.

Spectre Camo– You spawn in the “skin” of a Spectre, leading enemies to believe that you are an AI controlled bot rather than a Pilot.

Spider Sense– You hear an audio cue whenever enemy players are nearby.

Weapon cards

These cards are all enhanced versions of standard weapons. Some will deal more powerful damage while others come equipped with bonus modifications.

Amped Archer Heavy Rocket– Replaces your Anti-Titan weapon with a more powerful Archer Heavy Rocket.

Amped C.A.R. SMG– Replaces your primary weapon with a more powerful C.A.R. SMG

Amped Charge Rifle– replaces your Anti-Titan weapon with a faster charging Charge Rifle.

Amped Longbow-DMR Sniper– Replaces your primary weapon with a sonar scope-fitted Longbow-DMR Sniper.

Amped EVA-8 Shotgun– Replaces your primary weapon with a fully automatic EVA-8 Shotgun.

Amped G2A4 Rifle– Replaces your primary weapon with a more powerful G2A4 Rifle.

Amped Hemlock BF-R– Replaces your primary weapon with a more powerful Hemlock BF-R.

Amped Kraber-AP Sniper– Replaces your primary weapon with a Kraber-AP Sniper armed with explosive rounds.

Amped Spitfire LMG– Replaces your primary weapon with a Spitfire LMG that has a higher-than-usual rate of fire.

Amped Mag Launcher– Replaces your Anti-Titan weapon with a full auto, extended clip-fed Mag Launcher.

Amped Hammond P2011– Replaces your Sidearm with a burst-fire Hammond P2011.

Amped R-101C Carbine– Replaces your primary weapon with a more powerful R-101C Carbine.

Amped R-97 Compact SMG– Replaces your primary weapon with a more powerful R-97 Compact SMG.

Amped RE-45 Auto-Pistol– Replaces your Sidearm with a more powerful RE-45 Auto-Pistol.

Amped Sidewinder– Replaces your Anti-Titan weapon with a Sidewinder that has double ammo capacity.

Amped B3 Wingman– Replaces your Sidearm with a B3 Wingman that has a match trigger for faster semi-automatic fire.

Bottomless Frags– Replaces your equipped Ordnance with an infinite supply of more powerful Frag Grenades.

Personal Alarm System– replaces your Ordnance with Infinite Arc Mines that have a wider blast radius.

Shock Rocks– Replaces your equipped Ordnance with an infinite supply of magnetic Arc Grenades.

Surplus Satchels– Replaces your Ordnance with infinite, more powerful Satchel Charges.

Titan cards

These burn cards revolve around the Titans. These cards can either call down a Titan while ignoring build time or reduce your build time while giving you extra XP.

Atlas Refurb– Allows you to call in an Atlas Titan without having to wait for your build time to reach zero.

Decisive Action– Reduces your current Titan build time or Titan Core Charge time by 40 seconds

Massive Payload– Ejecting from your Titan causes a larger nuclear explosion.

Pull Rank– Reduces your current Titan build time or Titan Core Charge time by 80 seconds.

Reserve Ogre– Allows you to call in an Ogre Titan without having to wait for your build time to reach zero.

Spare Stryder– Allows you to call in a Stryder Titan without having to wait for your build time to reach zero.

Super Charger– Your Titan’s Core Ability comes pre-charged.

Thin The Ranks– Extra XP and reduced Titan build time when you score hits on enemy Grunts.

Titan Salvage– Extra XP and reduced Titan build time when you score hits on enemy Titans.

Urban Renewal– Extra XP and reduced Titan build time when you score hits on enemy Spectres.

Anti NPC cards

The Burn cards affect the AI controlled characters on the map.

Conscription– Any friendly Grunts start fighting on your behalf, with any kills they earn converting to XP for you.

Double Agent– Enemy Grunts, Spectres, Auto-Titans, and turrets ignore you.

Wifi Virus– Nearby enemy Spectres are automatically captured.

There is one more Burn Card which does not really fit into any of the above categories. It is called Select A Burn Card and is a wild card. You can pick whatever Burn Card effect you like when you use it.

Well that covers all the Burn Cards that Titanfall has available. Remember that these cards are only as good as you are. Use them wisely and for appropriate situations because you will loose them once you die. Also you want to use them for the right game modes. You may not want to use Prosthetic Legs during a round or Last Titan Standing for example. So use your cards wisely and to wreck havoc against your foes.
