During Saga Anderson’s chapters, you might be wondering who Mayor Setter is and if you receive anything for interacting with the signs you find around Bright Falls and Watery. You do, and in our guide, we’ll cover how to get the Mayor Setter Charm in Alan Wake 2.
Where to Find Mayor Setter Signs in Alan Wake 2
While you play through Saga and Alan’s stories, you’ll notice Mayor Setter is campaigning through Bright Falls and Watery. His signs come with various reasons why the voters should elect him into office. Find all six, and not only will you be able to meet Mayor Setter, but you’ll also receive “The Nice Things in Life” achievement along with the Mayor Setter Charm for Saga’s bracelet.
There’s an even split of campaign posters in both areas: three in Bright Falls and three in Watery. Here’s where to find them.
All Mayor Setter Campaign Sign Locations in Bright Falls
Mayor Setter Sign #1:
- Chapter: Return 1 — Invitation
- Location: Before you meet with the sheriff at Oh Deer Diner, go across the street, and you’ll find this sign.
- Campaign Slogan: Setter is better.
Mayor Setter Sign #2:
- Chapter: Return 1 — Invitation
- Location: After you get out of the morgue and leave the police station, take the left side street and head down it until you see this sign near a wooden fence.
- Campaign Slogan: Mayor Setter won’t roll over on the issues.
Mayor Setter Sign #3:
- Chapter: Return 5 — Old Gods
- Location: Outside the front entrance of the Wellness Center near the Valhalla Nursing Home’s parking area.

Perhaps you’re seeing a theme here? If not, don’t worry. It took me longer than I’d like to admit to figure this mystery out. Let’s head to Watery.
All Mayor Setter Campaign Sign Locations in Watery
Mayor Setter Sign #4:
- Chapter: Return 3 — Local Girl
- Location: I found this shortly after arriving in Downtown Watery. It’s located just outside Suomi Hall.
- Campaign Slogan: Mayor Setter will stand up for justice.
Mayor Setter Sign #5:
- Chapter: Return 3 — Local Girl
- Location: I found this one on my way to the gazebo in Coffee World. It’s south of the Coffee World gift shop and across from Mr. Drippy. You might encounter Taken here like I did, so be on your guard.
- Campaign Slogan: When you ask, Mayor Setter will speak.
Mayor Setter Sign #6:
- Chapter: Return 3 — Local Girl
- Location: Outside the Break Room near the Lighthouse Trailer Park.
- Campaign Slogan: Mayor Setter is not afraid of the rough questions.
Who Is Mayor Setter?
Once you find all the posters, a note will tell you that you can meet Mayor Setter in Suomi Hall in Watery. When you go there, you’ll find the “goodest boy” of politics. Mayor Setter is an adorable dog who can speak, roll over, and ask the “rough” questions.
When you meet Mayor Setter, you’ll receive two things: “The Nice Things in Life” achievement and the Mayor Setter Charm. Best of all, you get to pet Mayor Setter to end the quest, which would’ve been a reward enough for me. But I’ll take the charm, too.

Why You Should Get the Mayor Setter Charm
I equipped the Mayor Setter Charm right away. It marks all nearby resources and points of interest on Saga’s map. This cut down on the time I spent looking for Alex Casey lunchboxes and Nursery Rhymes, because the map had them marked. If you haven’t yet, you should definitely grab this charm. It’s fairly easy to accomplish early on, especially if you’ve been focusing on Saga’s story more than Alan’s.
