How to Unlock the Talk Show Studio Door in Alan Wake 2

To unlock the Talk Show Studio door in Alan Wake 2, you need to take note of the number sequence clue inside the Old Gods of Asgard dressing room, as that acts as the keypad combination. Here’s a quick summary:

  • This puzzle is encountered during the Initiation 1 – Late Night chapter, where Alan needs to escape a studio.
  • There are actually two different codes, both involving the same locked door. That’s due to a loop that occurs once you’ve finished a segment.

First Door Code: First Loop

While exploring the Talk Show Studio level in Initiation 1 – Late Night, you’ll come across a hallway with a locked door and a keypad. To your left, you’ll see the Old Gods of Asgard dressing room. There’s a neon sign that says: 665 – Neighbor of the Beast.

You can then input 6-6-5 in the keypad to unlock the door. This allows you to progress further into the area, sending you to another loop.

Second Door Code: Second Loop

During the second loop, you’ll find yourself in the same facility. The door at the end of the hallway will be locked once more. But if you check the Old Gods of Asgard dressing room, you’ll notice that the neon sign is flickering.

I suggest looking closely at the neon sign. You’ll see the correct sequence based on which numbers light up. In my experience, I got 5-6-5 as the second code for the keypad. However, I can’t confirm if this is the same for all players or if it gets randomized for others.

Now that you’ve unlocked the Talk Show Studio door in Alan Wake 2, all that’s left is to finish a few tasks, such as acquiring the Angel Lamp. Pretty soon, you’ll be able to exit the facility, whereupon you’ll reach the streets of a place that looks like a pseudo-New York City. I suggest taking in the sights and keeping your eyes peeled for collectibles, such as Words of Power upgrades and Echoes that can be aligned.
