All Level Unlocks in Phasmophobia: When You Unlock Maps, Difficulties, and Tools

It takes a long time to unlock everything. Here are all the level unlocks in Phasmophobia.

Raising your level takes some serious time, and I say that as someone who was nearly level 700 before the Prestige update hit. Let’s take a look at the important level unlocks in Phasmophobia so you know what’s coming as you progress.

Phasmophobia Level Unlocks Guide

When you first start ghost hunting in Phasmo, you don’t have many tools at your disposal. There aren’t a lot of maps for you to choose from, either. Luckily, your first few levels come on fast, though they do considerably slow down after a time. Getting the Tier 2 and Tier 3 tools is no small feat. Even with over 50 hours since the Prestige update, I’m only Level 36.

How to Increase Your XP Gains

Higher difficulties grant higher amounts of XP, as do completing side objectives on a map, collecting bone evidence, and correctly identifying the ghost. You’ll also get XP for taking pictures of ghost interactions and the ghost itself, so be sure to take pictures of UV residue and even doors that were just opened by the ghost. The better the picture’s rating, the better the reward.

You can see side objectives in your Journal at any point during an investigation. Every map has a single bone for you to find to collect bone evidence, which is done by taking a picture of the bone and then picking it up. As for the difficulties, they’ll unlock at certain level milestones.
