The classic JRPG-inspired Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is made to mimic the nostalgic experiences we enjoyed in the past. With that nostalgia theme in mind, the keybinds differ from what you usually expect on a PC. Here are all the PC controls in one place so you can get right into action.
All PC Controls in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes differs from most RPG games you play on PC; you won’t need a mouse to play it. Instead, you will only use your keyboard to perform actions and navigate the menu. This took me a bit to adapt to. However, it helps to have the controls in a list available beside you as you learn them. This way, you can check it as needed. Here are all the controls you’ll need to know:
Keybind | Action |
---|---|
WASD | Character Movement |
WASD | Cursor Movement |
Enter | Confirm |
Backspace | Cancel |
T | Open Main Menu |
R | Open Map Screen |
Y | Open System Menu |
U/O | Switch Parent Menu |
Q/E | Switch Submenu |
I/J/K/L | Field Camera Movement |
These are all the essential controls you’ll need to know to play the game. Not playing with a mouse on a PC takes a bit to get used to, but it’s simple once you get the hang of it. You will mostly use the arrows or WASD keys to navigate through all the menus and Enter and Backspace to confirm or cancel.
Unfortunately, there is no way to change the keybinds during play, like other games give the choice to. But you can actually appreciate the game more with these simple controls, especially as a retro-styled game that focuses heavily on story themes. Check back at the list whenever you need to for a quick refresher.
