How to Heal in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

It’s easy to forget to replenish your health after a battle, especially if you use Auto Battle more often. The map is filled with enemies you randomly encounter, which is why it’s dangerous to venture to the map when your heroes are in low health. There are several ways you can heal them to avoid that problem: Healing Items, Healing Abilities, and Inns.

Healing Items

My go-to way to heal is using healing items. These items are specifically for healing and are most commonly found as Healing Herbs. They can be used within your Item menu outside battle or during battle via the Item option. Since your healer can focus on healing abilities during a battle, it’s best to use these items after a battle before you continue onward.

Open your menu and switch to the Item tab. Here, select the potion vial tab and you’ll see the Healing Herbs toward the top of the list. To use it, select it, press “Use,” and then select the hero you want to use it on. Regular Healing Herbs will heal up to 40 HP per use, and Quality Healing Herbs can do up to 100.

How to Get Healing Herbs

You can get more Healing Herbs in a few different ways: by looting a chest, loot from a battle, or purchasing them. Since chests and battles can be random, if you really want to stock up on them, you’ll want to purchase them at a shop.

Most General Stores will carry Healing Herbs and Revival Remedies to purchase. Just select the “Buy” option and browse the list on the left. They usually have a stock of five or more, charging you 20 baqua per vial. You can only hold six vials at a time, so if you’re full, don’t waste any money.

If you’re wondering where to find a General Store or shop, head to the nearest town. Almost every town will have a shop where you can purchase items. Open your map and look for the potion vial icon; that’s where you’ll want to go.

Healing Abilities

One of the best ways to heal is to use healing abilities, especially in battle. Healing items should only be used in an emergency or after a battle. When you’re in battle, you’ll want to rely more on heroes with healing abilities.

Several heroes you can recruit excel at healing allies and providing more defense, such as Francesca, Zabi, Marin, etc. You’ll want to make sure you have at least one of them in your party formation at all times. You can see their skills in your menu under the Status tab. Francesca is one of my favorite healers because she can heal all allies simultaneously. You’ll have to make sure their MP stays high to keep healing through the battle though.

To use a healing ability in battle, you’ll want to select the “Fight” option rather than Auto Battle. Heroes can use healing in Auto Battle, but you won’t be able to control when they use it. When it’s the healer’s turn, select the Rune-Lens option and one of their abilities that says it will restore HP. Then, confirm who you want them to use the ability on. Some will automatically heal all allies, like Francesca’s Recovery Wave.

Inns

If you happen to be all out of Healing Herbs and MP to use healing abilities, there is one last solution — inns. You can rest at inns to replenish all heroes’ health and MP simultaneously. However, it will cost you some baqua.

Almost every town you venture to will have an inn where you can save your game or stay for the night. When you enter a town, open your map and look for the bed icon. This symbolizes an inn location.

There, you can head in and speak to the innkeeper behind the counter and choose the “Stay” option. The fee per inn may vary depending on the town and location you are in. However, it’s always bound to be 500 or more. Once you choose to “Stay,” there will be a brief loading screen, and all characters will restore health and MP.

Now that you know how you can heal your heroes, you can make sure none of them ever fall in battle. Keep a healer in your party and stay stocked on those healing supplies.
