All the characters in Zenless Zone Zero are wildly different, whether in personality, affiliation, desires, and age. And it’s the cast’s age that gets the least attention, with few markers in the story denoting how old or young a particular character is. So let’s guesstimate here.
How Old Is Every Character in Zenless Zone Zero?
Here’s the thing: there are very few time markers available in Zenless Zone Zero, let alone characters speaking about each other’s ages in definite terms. Younger members of the cast, like Koleda Belobog, are considered young enough to be “reading comics” by their older companions. The main characters, Wise and Belle, are also old enough to own their video store and have a mortgage on it, and have been Proxies long enough to take their Phaethon persona to a legendary status.
The one clearly stated time frame is the “fall of the old capital,” which multiple characters state happened 17 years before the story begins. Unfortunately, that’s the only actual number we get, so we have to use context clues and appearances to guesstimate a range for each character’s age in Zenless Zone Zero.
- Belle/Wise: Likely around their mid-20s, say 25-27. Professional but still prone to bouts of youthful silliness. They also state they grew up in the old capital before its fall to the Hollows, but not that they were too old when leaving it.
- Nicole: Early 20s, around 22-24. Still somewhat immature and unsure of who she really is, but confident enough to be out of her teenage years.
- Anby: Late teens to early 20s, say 19-21. She’s eccentric and looks relatively young, and is starting to come out of her apparent human weapon programming by spending time with Nicole and the Cunning Hares.
- Billy Kid: Tough to say, but in human terms, probably mid-20s, around 25 or so. While he’s incredibly childish, he also has a violent past he doesn’t reveal except in some very small moments.
- Nekomata: One of the younger cast members, she’s probably no older (in human years) than 15-17.
- Koleda Belobog: Probably between 15-17 as well, as she wasn’t around when the old capital fell but that time reference is key to her and her father’s story.
- Grace: Late 20s, maybe around 26-28. She’s old enough that Koleda is still very much a little kid to her, and calls her Sweet Pea instead of by her name or her title of President.
- Anton: Early-mid 20s, around 22-24. Brash, hotheaded, but just old enough to remember the old capital disaster, he’s also strong enough to stop rampaging construction equipment with his bare hands.
- Ben: Around 33-35 in human years (he is a humanoid bear). Ben is a bit of a bumbler, but is old enough to have worked directly with the previous Belobog Construction president from 17+ years ago.
- Piper: Also tough to say, though likely 17-20. She’s small and petite, but swings an ax with a motor on it with relative ease and is a member of a hardcore biker gang.
- Lucy: Like Piper, a harder guess, though probably early 20s, no more than 22.
- Soldier 11: Around 23-25. She’s still very much a soldier programmed to be a living weapon, but she has enough silliness about her to have some youth left.
- Soukaku: Do demon’s age the same way as humans? Let’s assume she’s around 16-18 in human years and call it good.
- Corin: Probaly 15-17, as she’s still got that childish fear of failure but, like her co-worker Ellen, is old enough to hold down a job.
- Ellen Joe: We know Ellen is in High School with a dedicated friend group but is also old enough to work for a high-class maid service. 16-18.
- Rina: Same question as Soukaku, but for ghosts. Rina is probably 27-30 if she isn’t an actual spirit, judging by her build and facial features
- Lycaon: 37-40 in human years, as he’s not very up with all the young people lingo these days and has a commanding aura.
Short of Zenless Zone Zero giving definite ages for their characters, these are my best guesses for how old they all are. For more on ZZZero, check out our guides hub.
