It’s April 1st, and that means it’s Bunny Day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons!
Bunny “Day” is a bit misleading, because the New Horizons event lasts from now until the end of the day on April 12. As we reported before, you’ll need to update to version 1.1 and be connected to the Internet when you boot the game.
If you’ve experienced Bunny Day before, you’ll recognize a lot of what’s going on in New Horizons‘ Bunny Day event.
You’ll hunt Zipper T. Bunny down in your town and collect eggs. But you won’t give them back to Zipper for prizes. You’ll use them to craft special Bunny Day DIY projects, and Zipper rewards you if you complete them all.
There’s quite a few of them, and we’ve got them all listed out here.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bunny Day Eggs
First up, you’ll need to get Eggs so you can craft the Bunny Day items. There are six different types, and you’ll need almost all your tools to get them:
- Earth Egg — Dig up from ground
- Leaf Egg — Shake from trees (you’ll see them hanging there like fruit)
- Stone Egg — Hit rocks to find
- Sky Egg — Float by on balloons; make sure you’ve got a slingshot
- Water Egg — Fish out of the water
- Wood Egg — Hit trees to get them. Use a Flimsy or Stone Axe unless you want to chop the entire tree down.
All the Bunny Day items take different types and numbers of Eggs to craft. Fortunately, Zipper actually wants you to succeed in this. If you haven’t crafted all the Bunny Day items by April 12, he’ll offer an Egg swap, trading you Eggs you need for recipes in exchange for Eggs you don’t want.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bunny Day DIY
There are 18 Bunny Day recipes to make for Zipper, plus some extras. You’ll find Bunny Day DIY Recipes pretty much everywhere, too.
Some float through the sky, some wash up on the beach, Zipper gives you some, and your neighbors give you some too. After collecting a certain number of each egg, you’ll figure out some recipes on your own as well.
These ones you figure out are the fashion Bunny Day items, and they’re actually separate from the 18 main ones.
Finally, according to GamePedia JP, the last two recipes aren’t available until April 12. Zipper gives you the Egg Arch and Egg Basket on the last day in honor of the festival held in the island square. If you make them all, you get a Zipper doll and Egg Wand.
