ArcheAge Profession Guide – Leatherwork

The basics for getting started in Leatherwork.
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Leatherwork uses two craft stations: Leather Workbench and Leather Armor Form. Both stations have their own purposes to help increase your overall Leatherwork skill. In this guide I’ll cover the basics of each station.

Leather Workbench:

The Leather Workbench uses pelts obtained from monsters to create leather. This leather can then be enhanced to use in higher quality crafts  using oils obtained through Alchemy. This workbench also allows you to make taiming nets, War Drum and Recover Pouch.

Leather Armor Form:

Here is where you’ll turn leather into various leather armor types. There are three crafting armor sets made from Leatherwork: Blacksmith’s, Tanner’s, and Carpenter’s. There is also the Typhoon leather set with its level tiers: Apprentice, Craftsman, Artificer. Artisan, Conqueror, and the Sealed Illustrious set. On top of the specific set bonus each set gets, equipping a set of leather armor gives a buff.

  • Increases Evasion by 3%.
  • Increases bow skill range by 3m.
  • Increases Melee/Ranged Critical Rates by 5%
  • Decreases Trip duration by 20%.
Crafting Sets:

The following are the three crafting sets made with Leatherwork.

This is the set used for Metalwork crafting. Each piece adds 50 proficiency to Metalwork while worn.

  • 3 Pieces: Increases Metalwork proficiency by 100.

Typhoon Set

Each tier of the combat set offers the same stats, they’re just increased at higher tiers. The only exception is the Sealed Illustrious set whose stats are random. The stats offered on the combat set are Defense, Magic Defense, Strength, Agility, and Stamina.
