Gameplay: Personas
Within Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD, the protagonist, Aveline, has the opportunity to tackle aspects of the game in different ways. These differ greatly from her Assassin brothers, Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, and Ratonhnhaké:ton (Connor to the player).
Liberation provides the players with three very distinct personas: the Lady, the Assassin, and the Slave. Below are the basic outlines for each persona, and examples of when to use them and how to juggle their notoriety levels.
Lady – The lady persona is weak in combat and has limited access to weapons and tools. She has the ability to charm and bribe guards; another added bonus is that notoriety is gained slower than another other persona.
Killing witnesses with any persona will lower the Lady’s notoriety. Main draw back – this persona cannot jump, climb or sprint.
The Assassin – The Assassin persona is perfect combat and climbing, and comes equipped with the ability to Chain Kill.
This persona is quick to grab the attention of guards due to always emitting a heightened state of notoriety. This can be countered by killing corrupt magistrates while having any persona equipped.
The Slave – The Slave persona may be Aveline’s weakest state, but it is her most cunning; she can blend in with crowds and worker groups, or lift crates to mask her likeness from guards and other such threats.
Tearing down posters cuts your notoriety on the slave persona. Free run is available.
Have you had chance to play Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD yet? If so, leave a comment below on how you find the personas. In the mean time – I am off to continue in New Orleans.
