When you take on the role of a N’avi warrior in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you’ll want to know the best weapons to fight the RDA. There are quite a few to choose from, so you’ll be wondering the right ones to take on the job. These are the best weapons.
What are the Best Weapons in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora?
I’ve spent plenty of time in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, so I’ve fought my fair share of bad guys. Through trial and error, I’ve discovered the best loadout for the job. You can have up to four weapons equipped once you unlock the necessary Well Prepared skill. With all four slots available, you’ll have the perfect setup for flexibility in combat. These are the best weapons, in my opinion.
- Heavy Bow
- Best Option: So’leks Survivor Heavy Bow. Deals 84-222 damage, depending on the quality of materials. The bow restores 10% health after killing an enemy and has Grenade arrows.
- Shortbow
- Best Option: Relentless Shortbow. Deals 47 damage. The shortbow restores 10% energy after killing an enemy, and all weapon movement penalties are removed (nimble archer bonus).
- Early Game you’ll want to utilize a Shotgun instead. The Jackhammer Shotgun is the standout, offering 15% Weakspot Damage and Storm Ammo.
- Spear
- Best Option: Shellbreaker Spear. Deals 162-302 damage, depending on the quality of materials. The spear grants 40% ranged resistance after killing an enemy. Causes extra damage to armor on impact.
- Staff Sling
- The Staff Sling is only available as a base weapon. However, it remains by far my favorite way to pack a punch in combat. You can utilize bombs, siren pods, or skunk pods with the Sling.
- Bomb Traps: Enemies will trigger an explosion once near the bomb trap. Fiercely effective against RDA machinery.
- Siren pods that make noise to distract enemies
- Skunk pods repel wildlife and RDA from areas
- The Staff Sling is only available as a base weapon. However, it remains by far my favorite way to pack a punch in combat. You can utilize bombs, siren pods, or skunk pods with the Sling.
The Shortbow will be unlocked through the main story, around Level 13. Once you’ve got it, you’re not going to want to put it down. It’s by far the best bow and arrow option for close combat.
For any So’Lek weapons, you’ll need to trade him for recipes. He takes RDA Duty Rosters as currency, which can be found throughout RDA facilities. Notably, they are a bit tough to find, so make sure you’re only spending them on recipes worthwhile.
That’s it for the best weapons in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Stay tuned with us for more tips, tricks, and walkthroughs.
