Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora — How to Get Shotgun Early

What's better than a bow and arrow? A Shotgun! Here's how to get it early in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

If you want to survive the beautiful yet dangerous world of Pandora, you’ll need weapons to fight off the wild fauna and invading humans. Although you start Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora with a powerful bow, guns are always fun. Here’s how to get the Shotgun early.

Where to Find the Shotgun in the Beginning Area of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

You’ll want all the best weapons your big blue hands can get a hold of, and although the bow works just fine in the early game, you’ll eventually gain your first human weapon, an Assault Rifle. Well, it’s supposed to be your first. However, you can get a Shotgun shortly after entering the resistance base for the first time.

To get the Shotgun you’ll need to have the SID, or the Systems Interrogation Device, given to you by Alexander in the base camp. This allows you to hack different devices, RDA devices and vehicles, and open crates.

Early-Game Shotgun Location

After you finish the tutorial on how to use the SID, you can get the Shotgun located back at the Fueling Station. This is where you had to save So’lek. You’ll see a yellow crate that you can hack open with your SID. Complete the little mini-game, and you’ll get the Shotgun. You’ll know have a super powerful, if not OP, weapon in the early game.

The Bow can be slow, especially if there are multiple enemies, and the Assault Rifle can often use too much ammo if your aim is off. I like the Shotgun because it has a lot of power and you don’t need precise aiming with it. Since you run faster than most enemies, I often run close to an enemy, shoot them, and then run away. Thee Shotgun is absolutely perfect for that type of up-close-and-personal playstyle.

That’s how to get the Shotgun early in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Eventually, it will be outpaced by other weapons, but it’s hard to beat so early on, and it has its situational uses even into the late game. Plus, you don’t have to do as much work to get this one as another that’s just a little further into the story. You’re welcome.
