Handling the Goblin Camp outside Shattered Sanctum can be annoying due to the amount of enemies. However, using poison kills most of them, leaving you with just a few stragglers to fight. Here’s how to poison the Goblin Camp in Baldur’s Gate 3.
How to Poison the Goblin Camp in Baldur’s Gate 3
Being a Bard or able to roll high on Performance is the most helpful here, but having a character with Minor Illusion is also acceptable.
Get the Poison
First, you need to speak with Nettie in the Emerald Grove. She gives you Wyvern Toxin, forcing you to promise that you’ll use it if you start to transform. But we use it to kill Goblins instead because we can mix it into their cauldron of drinks. That means it’s time to head to the Goblin Camp.
Option 1: Invisibility
At the Goblin Camp, Goblins visit the cauldron with drinks often, making it difficult to poison them outright. Your first option is to use Invisibility, sneak over, and add the Wyvern Toxin. This is probably the most accessible and easiest option since Scrolls of Invisibility aren’t tough to get. And you should be able to grab Invisibility as a spell, at least on Gale at this point.
Option 2: Distraction
If you don’t have Invisibility, you can also distract the Goblins with a quick Minor Illusion so they look away. The better option here would be to play an instrument on one character while a party member poisons the Cauldron. The Goblins flock around the musician while they play, so you get the most time to use the poison without being caught.
And that’s how to poison the Goblin Camp in Baldur’s Gate 3 without getting caught. Without a distraction or Invisibility, you’ll be interrupted and have to keep making rolls to keep the Goblins from attacking you for trying to poison them.
